“Your Future is created by what you do today not tomorrow”.
With this quote, I’ll start this post titled The Prudent Helpmeet.
First, let’s dissect the key words which cannot be underestimated in our topic of discussion.
Prudent: It is to act or show care with the thought of the future. We can also say, it’s being wise or judicious.
Helpmeet: Is a partner or companion especially one’s husband.
In other words, a prudent helpmeet is a partner or companion filled with wisdom and judicious in act with the thought of the future.
Having defined the topic of discussion, permit me to say, a prudent helpmeet is CRAZY!
Patiently follow the characteristics of a prudent helpmeet to understand the word CRAZY:
C- Careful: A prudent helpmeet assists the partner in making conscious decisions that won’t affect the future of the family.
R- Restrained: She is calm and thinks before acting on things.
A- Alert: She has the ability to avoid unnecessary risk that could jeopardize the future. She is always on guard and alert to avert trouble for her spouse.
Z- Zestful: She is full of enthusiasm and energy which enables her to consider the long-term consequences of her actions.
Y- Yielding: She is not rigid in every sphere of life. She is open to decision making, analysis, and investments that can generate profits for the family.
Definitely, you will agree with me that a prudent helpmeet is crazy. Don’t just rant and nag in your home, be prudently crazy.
It is of best interest for every family to have at least one prudent person, if both cannot be. Else the family is set for actions full of regrets. A good example of a prudent helpmeet can be likened to the Biblical Proverbs 31 woman; hence a prudent woman is a virtuous woman.
Conclusively, Prudence is a form of practical reasoning. It is the ability to examine the potential consequences of your actions objectively, and to control yourself based on that examination.
Prudence involves far-sighted planning as well as short-term, goal-directed planning. It is often referred to as cautious or practical wisdom.
I’ll end the lecture with this quote “In matters of conscience, first thoughts are the best. In matters of prudence, last thoughts are best.”

I believe so much in prayers. It works. He’s got the heart of everyone in his hands. Also, cultivate the habit of having an alternative so as to help him.
Communication is key but the way & manner of presentation is paramount. Learn to communicate wisely and calmly to your spouse on issues.
