Understanding Your Trigger Levels

(Carefully read this)
Different issues carry different emotional weight. This exercise helps you recognize what affects you deeply, what mildly hurts, and what you can overlook with grace.

🔴 High-Level Triggers – Serious actions that threaten trust or values
Examples: Infidelity, Betrayal
🟠 Medium-Level Triggers – Hurtful behaviors that affect you emotionally
Examples: Being ignored often, harsh or disrespectful words
🟡 Low-Level Triggers – Minor oversights or forgetfulness
Examples: Not noticing your effort, not returning kindness

(Note that these are just examples, those issues may not fit those categories for you)

Your Reflection Task
Categorize some of the issues that have triggered you in the past into low, medium, and high.
Then write a personal plan for how you want to handle triggers in each category going forward.

Example: Low-Level – I will stay silent and discuss them calmly later. Medium-level: I’ll take 3 deep breathes and blablabla…

Now whenever there is a trigger, ask yourself what category it is and follow the plan you’ve written for that trigger

Definition of Done (DOD):
